Installing
Diabetes Diary
Diabetes Diary is installed
to a hard drive from a CD-ROM via the SETUP.EXE application. By default,
the setup program will install the following:

Diabetes Diary application [DIABETES_DIARY.EXE]
(default location: "C:\diabetes")

Master patient file [DIABETES_MASTER.DAT]
(default location: "C:\diabetes")

Sample patient file for John
Doe [DOE(12345).DAT] (default location: "C:\diabetes")
-
Help file (this file!) [DIABETESHELP.CHM]
(default location: "C:\diabetes")
-
Asymetrix ToolBook runtime files
(default location: "C:\Program Files\Asymetrix\Shared Tools\TBsystem")
To install, run the SETUP.EXE
program found on the CD-ROM. The setup program will unpack the compressed
installation files, create the necessary directories, save the uncompressed
files in the appropriate directories, and create a shortcut in the Programs
area of the Start button.
The John Doe data file is
included for demonstration and testing purposes. It may be deleted after
isntallation be removing the "John Doe" user account via the Log
In screen.
NOTE: While the default directories
can be be changed, it is imperative that the first four files above be
located in the same directory.
